WELCOME TO KUTSHER'S: The Last Catskills Resort
A documentary film directed by Ian Rosenberg & Caroline Laskow

About the Film:
Kutsher's Country Club is the last surviving family-owned Jewish resort in the Catskills, and in 2007 celebrated its 100th anniversary. Directors Ian Rosenberg and Caroline Laskow have been granted complete access by the Kutsher family (including Helen Kutsher, the second generation matriarch, and her son Mark, the third generation CEO) to document their anniversary season and tell the story of this remarkable institution. Welcome to Kutsher's: The Last Catskills Resort will explore: the inception of Kutsher's as Jewish refuge and family vacation paradise; its evolution into one of the birth places of Borscht Belt comedy; and its still uncertain future.

The documentary is currently in post-production, but the filmmakers are still actively seeking to obtain as much archival Kutsher's material (photos, film, Super-8, family home movies, memorabilia) as possible. If you have material that you would consider sharing for use in the film, or would like to learn more about the project, please contact Ian Rosenberg at ianrosenberg@yahoo.com.
